Amy and her family moved to Texas from Connecticut in 2005. A native of the East Coast, she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy at Quinnipiac University in 1988. Amy has been a practicing physical therapist for more than 27 years, with 25 of those spent in outpatient orthopedic settings. Specializing in manual therapy techniques, aquatics, and therapeutic exercise with a concentration on core strengthening, Amy has been a part of the ProActive Team since 2009, 1st as the director in Clear Lake, and currently in Pearland. She has been trained in multiple manual therapy techniques, including Muscle Energy, CST, Mulligan & Myofascial Release. Amy is also trained in Custom Splinting for the upper extremities.
When she’s not at work, Amy pursues her love of singing as part of the Grace Community Church Worship Team (though she’s been known to bust out in song at work, too!) She also enjoys spending time with her family, attending her son's college football games, reading, and exercising (she’s a fan of running and kickboxing workouts). Amy also recently became a "Mamie" (grandma) and is enjoying every moment she can get her hands on her beautiful granddaughter!
