Brenda Shoemaker, PT
Brenda Shoemaker, PT, has been a practicing outpatient Physical Therapist since 1991. She graduated from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and immediately started working for a contract-service company at the local hospital in her hometown of Fremont, Ohio. She then became Director of Rehabilitation Services at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, Ohio from 1996-2001. She then left the hospital setting to head up a new outpatient clinic in Fremont, Ohio where she stayed until June of 2008. There she was able to continue to develop her manual therapy skills or "bag of tricks" as she calls them.
Brenda's newest challenge has been relocating to the Houston area with her husband and three children. Along with that challenge, she hopes to continue to promote a "hands-on" approach to the Physical Therapy profession. In continuing with the ProActive Physical Therapy Centers vision, she has been instrumental in the development of our TMJD (temporomandibular joint dysfunction) program. Brenda currently works in our Pearland office, but you may see her in Clear Lake and Pasadena from time to time. She is a valuable asset to our team.
