Dr. Sara Steinocher DPT, PT
Sara is from the booming metropolis of Hallettsville, TX, where she grew up as a country kid with a love for sports and adventure. As a proud member of the Fighting Texas Aggie class of 2011, she spent her days in College Station working with the Aggie volleyball team, playing club volleyball and every other intramural sport she could fit in her schedule, volunteering as a counselor for Transfer Camp, coaching, and singing in her church choir.
Her interest in physical therapy developed from her love of sports and improving her performance and piqued when her brother underwent surgery and re
hab for a baseball injury. Sara decided to pursue a career in physical therapy when she realized it was the perfect way to combine her love of helping others with her desire to problem solve (half of her family are engineers), all while being able to dance around while listening to music at work! She attained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Houston in 2016, where she received the “Energizer Bunny” Award. Sara is excited to be a part of the family atmosphere at ProActive and is currently pursuing her specialization in orthopedic and manual physical therapy through the Institute for Athlete Regeneration fellowship program.
The flip side of Sara’s work-life balance includes playing sports, running ridiculous distances, traveling, and going on outdoor adventures.
