Lora Walker, PT

A love for movement and dance which began as a young girl is what sparked Lora Walker’s interest in Physical Therapy.  Lora has her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Texas Woman’s University with a minor in Dance.  In 2003, she received a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University here in Houston.  Lora further earned a Neurologic Certified Specialist certification from the American Physical Therapy Association in 2007.  Quite an achievement as only forty six physical therapists in Texas have this certification.

Lora has an intense passion and commitment to changing lives through the B.R.A.V.E. Program (Balance Rehabilitation And Vestibular Enhancement program).  This arises from her personally witnessing the transformation of people who came in suffering from balance issues and experienced an improvement of their deficit allowing them to regain their mobility and become more independent.

Lora and her husband are very busy with their three young children.  They are both interns at their church and Lora also enjoys giving back by teaching the girls in her church praise dance.  As with everything she does, Lora’s desire to serve others is her motivating force and she considers it an honor to be a part of the healing process.
